This pharmacy originally had a drop ceiling and fluorescent lights at a 10ft height and a relatively sterile feel. After major water damage, the ceiling caved in.

Remedy Pharmacy - Montezuma, Iowa
Remedy Pharmacy is found in a turn-of-the-century building in downtown Montezuma. After water damage had caused the ceiling to collapse, we designed this new space drawing inspiration from the wood, glass and mirrored cabinets flanking both sides of the space. Although the building's original ceiling was tin it was badly damaged due to neglect, so we installed a new slightly curved ceiling to keep the old tin ceiling look.

brooklyn pharmacy
Brooklyn, Iowa
We designed this pharmacy with a mid-century modern feel in mind. We lined part of the walls with birch paneling and chose paint colors made popular by designers Robert and Ray Eames in the 1950's. Keeping with the time period we developed a clean, open, modern layout.
We installed a custom slat and beam ceiling, created unique countertops and cabinets and laid attractive bamboo flooring.
There are many other creative projects found in this design. Enter the gallery to the right to read more about them.

After removing metal panels we found amazing glass block with original copper trim. We designed this sign to complement the clear glass. We installed florescent lights behind the glass which filter light through the sign at night while the red lettering stands out during the day.

Prior to our renovation, the space was used as a floral shop. We had a very long, tall space to design within.

We started with a barn pole building, stripped the metal siding and started to frame.

Liberty Plaza
North Liberty, Iowa
We were asked to provide a face lift to this commercial retail building in North Liberty. We worked with another designer to bring new life to what was a run down metal pole barn building.
The new facade added great height and visual interest. Cement stucco board was used as well as a flat brick wall system to create a modern feel.
New windows were installed across the length of the building.
